What an awesome day we had Saturday for the first market of the season! The sun was shining, it was hot, and the people were out. In fact we set a record for opening day attendance. We started counting customers in 2019 and are happy to report the data shows our market has grown these past few years.
There was quite a variety of products available this week, ranging from vegetable, herb, and flower starts to cucumbers, radishes, chives, sauerkraut, pickled products, relish, baked goods, wood crafts, custom knives, and artwork of all types. And did you see those eggs! Yum! I heard a rumor that there will be tomatoes next week.
The Lee Homestead Historic Post Office is usually open on market days. Volunteers from the Soldotna Historical Society offer tours.
The vendors that are scheduled to be in attendance Saturday, June 11 are:
Stellaria Trial Garden, Greatland Knife Works, Secret Garden, Grace Acres, Wilderness Earth Farm, Arnold Family Farm, Lancashire Farm, Lancashire Farm Fiber, Dragonfly Farm, Ridgeway Farm, Elaine Howell Photography & Design, Krafted on the Kenai, Garden Specialties, Nicki’s Sweets, BZB Bakes & Cakes, The Farmer’s Daughter, Blind Squirrel Finds, Hebert Wood, Alaska Animal Farm, Beckaroo’s Pantry. This listing is subject to change.
A huge THANK YOU to all who support our weekly market. See you at the Market!
